Check Reserve Recent Arrests

Reserve recent arrests are a parish matter, not a city one. This river town sits in St. John the Baptist Parish. It has no municipal police department of its own. Every arrest made in Reserve runs through the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office. That means one place answers most questions. The sheriff keeps a live jail roster of people currently in custody. Dated arrest reports and parish court records fill in the rest. Start with the roster if you want to know who was arrested in Reserve today, then turn to the courts for anything older.

Reserve Arrests Use Parish Records

Reserve sits on the east bank of the river and counted 8,541 residents in 2020. That figure comes from the Southeast Central Planning and Development District. The same regional body reports that St. John the Baptist Parish has no municipal governments. Reserve therefore has no city police department, booking room, or daily blotter. Law enforcement and records for the parish belong to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office.

Place names still shape a records search. "Reserve" on a sheriff report may mark an address, an incident spot, or a person's listed community. It never signals that a city agency made the arrest. Check the held-for agency and charge fields instead. Those details sit in the official roster. Every adult arrested in Reserve shares the same parish booking route.

Where Reserve Arrests Are Published

No Reserve-only publication window exists. The live roster shows current custody. Dated sheriff posts preserve selected booking windows from weeks past. Written records and court files cover later gaps, so begin with sources that name the owning agency and the stage involved.

Someone released can drop off the live roster fast. A dated sheriff post may still list that booking. The Clerk of Court and the 40th Judicial District Court hold the rest of the case path.

Lookup Someone Arrested in Reserve

The Zuercher portal filters several ways. Name, race, sex, and dates all narrow a search. Results may list age, cell block, held-for agency, release date, hold details, and a mugshot. The "In Custody On" filter spans only a recent 30-day range. An older arrest still appears when the person remains held. A fresh release can remove an entry, though.

  1. Search the SJSO inmate portal by the person’s name and verify the arrest date.
  2. Check held-for agency and hold details instead of assuming the place name identifies the arresting office.
  3. Open the dated Arrest Reports archive and inspect single-day plus grouped weekend posts.
  4. Call Corrections at (985) 359-8622 or (985) 359-8623 if a fresh booking has not appeared.
  5. Request the record from SJSO Records, then check the clerk for the eventual disposition.

For confirming current custody, a direct roster check works best. It shows who is still held right now. The booking date matters too. When it is known, the 24 Hour Arrests guide explains the short-window confirmation path step by step.

Note: The public roster changes quickly and warns that it is not an official court document.

Reserve Arrest Booking Location

Reserve has no city jail of its own. Parish bookings happen at the Lt. Sherman Walker Correctional Facility. The address is 100 Deputy Barton Granier Drive, LaPlace, LA 70068. The official facility page describes the SJSO-operated jail. Louisiana DOC uses related names for the same parish correctional system, and none of them points to a Reserve municipal facility.

Booking creates the custody record. It can list the arrest date, booking grounds, held-for agency, bond or warrant terms, cell block, and release details. A detainer asks another agency to keep someone held. A rebooking may show up in a dated report.

The Sheriff's Office page profiles the parishwide agency serving Reserve.

With no separate municipal department in town, the sheriff's agency page is the natural starting point.

Request Reserve Arrest Records

Request Reserve arrest reports from SJSO, not a city counter. Reserve has none anyway. Send a written request to Sheriff Mike Tregre, P.O. Box 1600, LaPlace, LA 70069. Email works too at records.request@stjohnsheriff.org. Include the person's name, the likely date and location, and the exact record sought; the Records Division answers at (985) 359-8873.

Published sheriff fees start at $10 for a criminal-record check. A CD holding photographs and videos costs $50. Document-copy fees and $10 mailing come on top. No Reserve-specific form, photo-only fee, or public turnaround time is posted. Louisiana law also limits release. Active investigative material, plus protected juvenile, victim, source, method, or security information, may stay sealed.

Ask Corrections about current custody. Ask Records for a sheriff report. The parish clerk and court keep the final result of a charge. These routes are related, yet none replaces another.

Reserve Juvenile Records Stay Restricted

Reserve sits inside St. John the Baptist Parish, and one local detail trips people up. The 40th JDC lists a Juvenile Center in Reserve. That office does not turn Reserve into its own adult booking jurisdiction. No city arrest roster exists because of it. Adults arrested in the area are booked through SJSO's parishwide systems. That is where the reports live.

Juvenile material stays sealed for a reason. Sheriff guidance treats juvenile criminal and status-offender reports as privileged. The arrest reports themselves hide those entries. A status offense is conduct handled in juvenile court simply because of the person's age. A child's name or protected report will not surface. A Reserve incident alone does not change that.

So an empty search result may mean a protected record. That is not a publishing error. Stale commercial pages and copied images will not get around the restriction. Nobody should try.

Reserve Arrest Report Timing

Timing follows the parish calendar, not a Reserve schedule. Many weekday reports cover a single day. Weekends and holidays often get bundled into one date range and posted afterward. The sheriff's Sept. 3 through Sept. 7, 2026 batch after Labor Day shows exactly that pattern. Someone arrested on a weekend can land under the final grouped title. The page may not bear the actual arrest day.

Read the current roster and the report archive side by side. A new entry can show in custody before the dated post appears. Later, a release wipes the roster result while the report stays put. For stretches covering several days, the St. John the Baptist Parish Arrest Log explains grouped windows and older navigation.

Do not infer absence: A missing Reserve result may reflect intake lag, a grouped report, release, protected data, or a spelling difference.

Reserve Arrest News and Indexes

L'Observeur has long reprinted parish arrest reports and sometimes names Reserve in its event coverage. It is a newspaper, though, not the official custodian. A story adds context. It cannot replace a live custody check or the court record. Regional TV occasionally covers notable parish cases too, but keeps no complete Reserve list.

Commercial sites are another matter. Several commercial sites run parish-level sections. RecentlyBooked, Busted Newspaper, Mugshots.com, Arrests.org, Mugshots.zone, and Arre.st are among them. None is a Reserve-only government feed. An image can linger after release. Corrections go unposted, entries merge, and arresting agencies get mislabeled. Trust the sheriff, jail, clerk, court, and Louisiana DOC sources first.

The Louisiana parish profile places Reserve in its correct parish context.

That profile explains why Reserve searches route to parish records rather than a municipal police page.

After Reserve Arrest Booking

Custody status and court status split apart after booking. A booking record shows why someone entered the jail. Arraignment is where charges are formally presented and a plea is entered, while bond governs pretrial release. Disposition is the court's final outcome. The sheriff report settles none of those later steps.

Roster
A changing view of current custody.
Arrest report
A dated sheriff account of booking charges.
Disposition
The final court action on the charge.
Expungement
A legal process that restricts public access to an eligible record.

The 40th Judicial District Court handles parish criminal matters. The Clerk's criminal page carries the later record path. Match a court file by more than a name, since similar names, rebookings, and amended charges can otherwise point to the wrong conclusion.
